WIRELESS LAN / SITE SURVEY

Wireless LAN Site Survey Service

Measure RF signals, visualize the root cause of connectivity issues.

Using NetAlly professional analyzers, we measure signal strength, SNR, and channel interference across your entire floor, then propose weak spots in existing APs and optimal placement for new APs. We go beyond Report Delivery — as an independent SIer, we provide one-stop service through Omada AP selection, installation, and ongoing operation.

01 / CHALLENGES

Are any of these challenges familiar?

  • Wi-Fi is slow or disconnecting in meeting rooms or specific areas
  • Unsure whether to add more APs or relocate existing ones
  • Suspecting interference from external radio sources (neighboring routers, etc.)
  • Need to design AP placement before moving into a new office

Simply "adding more APs" can actually worsen communication quality due to interference with existing APs. The fastest path to improvement is visualizing the floor's RF conditions through real measurement.

02 / WHAT WE DO

What the Survey Reveals 3 measured metrics to quantify RF conditions

1. Signal Strength Heatmap

We scan the entire floor at measurement points and visualize in dBm values. Coverage of existing APs and weak areas (desks, meeting rooms) are grasped at a glance.

2. SNR (Signal Quality)

We set SNR 30 or above as the recommended threshold for business use, evaluating each point across both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Identifies areas where "signal reaches but quality is poor."

3. Channel Occupancy / External Radio Sources

We identify external radio sources and interference from neighboring APs, third-party routers, Bluetooth devices, etc. We measure congestion per band and recommend optimal channels.

03 / PROCESS

Survey Process HEARING → SURVEY → ANALYSIS → REPORT → IMPLEMENTATION

STEP 1
Hearing
  • Identifying problem areas
  • SSID in use / authentication method
  • Existing AP models and count
  • Expected number of business devices
STEP 2
On-site Survey
  • Real measurement at each point with NetAlly
  • Signal Strength / SNR / Channel
  • Passive Measurement (No Impact on Operations)
  • External radio source scan
STEP 3
Analysis
  • Identifying existing AP positions
  • Extracting weak areas
  • Pinpointing external radio sources and interference
  • Evaluating candidate positions for new APs
STEP 4
Report
  • Heatmap (delivered as PPT)
  • SNR evaluation report
  • Recommended installation positions
  • Channel design
STEP 5
Proposal & Implementation (optional)
  • Omada AP model selection
  • Installation & initial setup
  • Centralized management (OC200/OC300)
  • Operational handover

From survey to Report Delivery, the typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks. The survey itself takes half a day to one day per floor (~30 rooms), and since passive measurement during business hours is the primary method, it has no impact on the Wi-Fi in use.

04 / DELIVERABLES

Sample Deliverables SAMPLE REPORT — ANONYMIZED

Three representative pages from actual project reports, anonymized. Together with the "New AP Placement" hero image, these are delivered as a single integrated report.

05 / EQUIPMENT

Equipment Used NetAlly HANDHELD ANALYZERS

We use industry-standard handheld wireless analyzers such as NetAlly AirCheck G2 / EtherScope nXG. These measure spectrum, SNR, and channel occupancy in real time, with results mapped per measurement point and incorporated into the report.

* NetAlly products are available for purchase through us. If you are considering keeping units on-site for in-house surveys or continuous monitoring without outsourcing, please feel free to consult us.

06 / IMPLEMENTATION

One-stop AP Proposal & Implementation after the Survey SURVEY → DESIGN → DEPLOY — END-TO-END

Based on the report, we handle everything from model selection through installation, initial setup, and operation. We don't stop at the survey — we carry results through to implementation.

TP-Link Omada AP — Centralized Management (OC200 / OC300)

Based on the AP Placement and channel design in the report, we select the optimal TP-Link Omada AP model and provide one-stop service through installation, initial setup, and operation. Omada supports centralized management controllers such as OC200 / OC300, making it suitable for large offices and multi-site operations.

We also handle sales and provisioning of third-party APs such as Cisco / Aruba. As a vendor-independent SIer, we propose the best option for your environment.

07 / FAQ

FAQ

How long does a survey take?
Half a day to one day per floor (~30 rooms). Including report preparation, the typical turnaround from survey to delivery is 1–2 weeks. We provide an estimate based on scope and complexity during the initial hearing.
Can it be done during business hours?
Yes. The primary method is passive measurement (receive-only), which has no impact on Wi-Fi in use, so it can be conducted without interrupting business operations.
Do you handle AP sales and installation?
Yes. Centered on TP-Link Omada AP, we provide one-stop service from selection through installation, initial setup, and operation. Sales and provisioning of third-party products such as Cisco / Aruba are also available.
Do you sell NetAlly equipment?
Yes, we can supply NetAlly products. If you are considering in-house periodic surveys or continuous on-site monitoring of RF conditions, please consult us.
Can I see sample reports?
This page shows 4 anonymized sample pages. If you need a more specific sample closer to your industry, scale, or challenges, we can arrange an individual consultation under NDA.
What areas do you cover?
We cover all of Japan. With offices in Tokyo and Osaka, we can minimize travel costs for Kanto and Kansai area engagements. Travel expenses for other regions are quoted separately.
08 / CONTACT

Have a wireless LAN challenge? Let's talk first.

Feel free to reach out even with a vague concern — "drops in a specific area," "not sure whether to add APs," etc. We'll hear about your on-site situation and provide an assessment of survey necessity, scope, and estimate.
