General
Yes, the Quick Quote service is free of charge. You can complete everything online from product selection to quote PDF issuance. Formal quotes and detailed configuration consultations are also free in principle.
Of course. You're welcome to request a quote even when your purchase decision has not been finalized, as a reference for your configuration planning. We don't make persistent sales calls — our sales team only follows up when needed.
This service is intended for businesses and sole proprietors. For consumer use cases (single-unit purchases), please use TP-Link authorized resellers or electronics retailers.
Security Cameras
You need an NVR with a channel count equal to or greater than the number of cameras you plan to record (for example, 16ch for 10 cameras). Cameras beyond the channel count cannot be recorded, so our quote system automatically checks that the channel count is sufficient for the number of cameras. If you're planning future expansion, we recommend choosing a channel count with some extra headroom.
Except for some "HDD-included models," most NVR units do not come with a recording HDD included. You will need to prepare a separate surveillance-grade HDD with capacity sized to your camera count, resolution, and recording retention period. We can provide guidance on the required capacity at the time of your formal quote.
Required capacity is generally determined by "resolution × number of cameras × recording hours per day × retention days." Higher resolution, more cameras, and longer retention all require greater capacity. Capacity requirements can sometimes be reduced with settings such as motion-triggered recording or H.265 compression. Please consult us for detailed capacity planning as part of your formal quote.
"4K" refers to roughly 8 million pixels (8MP), while "4MP" refers to approximately 4 million pixels. 4K offers sharper detail, but also requires more recording capacity and network bandwidth. For general surveillance purposes, 4MP is often sufficient, while 4K is beneficial when high detail is required, such as reading license plates or identifying faces. Please choose based on your specific use case.
They mainly differ in installation style and field of view. Dome cameras are ceiling-mounted and inconspicuous; bullet cameras are highly directional and suited to outdoor wall mounting; turret cameras fall in between and are easy to work with. PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras allow remote control of direction and zoom, making them well-suited for monitoring wide areas. Please choose based on the installation location and monitoring range needed.
Outdoor installations require outdoor-rated models with dust and water resistance (such as IP66 / IP67). IP66 protects against dust ingress and resists powerful water jets, while IP67 also withstands temporary submersion. Using an indoor-only camera outdoors risks failure due to rain, dust, or temperature extremes. Our quote system automatically selects an outdoor-rated model when you specify outdoor installation.
Nighttime capture generally falls into two categories: infrared (IR) black-and-white capture, and full-color capture (using supplemental lighting, etc.). Full-color models retain color information even at night, which is helpful for identifying clothing, vehicle color, and similar details. Some higher-end models offer particularly strong color reproduction in low light. Please choose based on your installation environment's lighting conditions and your objectives.
Networking
A router is the gateway that connects a site to the internet; a switch is a hub device that connects equipment via wired connections (and can also provide PoE power); and an AP provides wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) connectivity. A typical business network combines all three. Our quote system automatically combines the necessary equipment based on the scale and intended use of your network.
Omada is TP-Link's system for centrally managing business-grade networking products. Compatible routers, switches, and APs can be centrally managed and monitored through a controller (either a dedicated hardware device or software/cloud-based), making it easy to apply settings in bulk and monitor status. It is especially effective for operations spanning multiple sites or large numbers of devices.
For small, standalone deployments, a controller is not strictly required. However, to centrally manage multiple Omada devices, a controller (hardware-based or software/cloud-based) is recommended. It improves manageability and visibility, making configuration changes and troubleshooting easier. Please consider one based on the scale of your deployment.
These are all terms related to network speed and connection type. 10G refers to 10-gigabit-per-second high-speed communication; multi-gig (2.5G/5G/10G) is a standard that allows speed increases while reusing existing LAN cabling; and SFP/SFP+ are expansion ports for inserting modules such as fiber optic transceivers. They are used for high-volume traffic and backbone connections. Whether they are needed depends on your traffic volume and cabling environment.
This is a configuration in which critical equipment is duplicated so that operations can continue even if a device fails. By deploying multiple controllers or power supplies, operations can continue even if one fails. This approach is used in backbone networks where availability is a priority. Please consult us about the appropriate level of redundancy based on criticality and budget.
Power & PoE
PoE (Power over Ethernet) is a technology that delivers both data and power over a single LAN cable. Cameras and APs can be powered directly from a PoE-capable switch without needing a nearby power outlet, simplifying cabling and giving you more flexibility in installation. It is especially useful for surveillance cameras and ceiling-mounted APs.
They differ in the standard for power delivered per port. As a general guideline, PoE (802.3af) can supply up to approximately 15W, PoE+ (802.3at) up to approximately 30W, and PoE++ (802.3bt) up to approximately 60-90W per port (these are approximate maximum power figures per the standards; actual support and power delivery vary by model). Devices with higher power consumption (such as high-performance APs or PTZ cameras) require the higher-power standards. Our quote system selects power-sourcing equipment that meets the standard required by the powered device.
Depending on the model, some access points require higher power delivery (PoE++ / 802.3bt). Insufficient power can prevent the device from starting up or performing at full capacity, so power-sourcing equipment that supports the AP's required PoE standard is necessary. Our quote system checks the PoE standard required by the AP and configures the system accordingly. Exact requirements are based on the product datasheet.
The PoE budget is the total power (in watts) that a single PoE switch can supply across all of its ports combined. If the combined power consumption of connected devices exceeds this limit, some devices may not receive adequate power. When connecting many devices or higher-power models, choose equipment with a budget that comfortably exceeds your total power consumption.
A non-PoE switch provides data connectivity only, with no power delivery, so cameras or APs that rely on PoE power will need a separate power source. To operate PoE-powered devices with power delivery, you'll need a PoE-capable switch (or a PoE injector). Our quote system verifies that power delivery is properly accounted for whenever PoE devices are included.

The Quick Quote is valid for 30 days from the issue date. After this period, please request a new quote based on the latest pricing and stock. Re-quoting is free.
The Quick Quote covers only product price + maintenance plan fee (if selected) + consumption tax. The following are NOT included (quoted separately if needed):
- Installation / cabling work
- Configuration / on-site adjustment
- Shipping fee (separately advised)
- Removal and disposal of existing equipment

The configuration in a preliminary quote is a standard recommendation based on the information you provided. Actual installations may require on-site verification of factors such as cable runs, power availability, compatibility with existing equipment, and wireless conditions. Your assigned SE will review any questions and adjust the configuration as needed. Please feel free to consult with us.
Yes. Simply answer questions in our hearing sheet about installation location, number of devices, and intended use, and the optimal configuration will be proposed automatically. You can proceed using simple multiple-choice selections even without technical knowledge. Your assigned SE will also help clarify detailed requirements.
Maintenance
It is not required. You can purchase with manufacturer warranty only. However, for business equipment where downtime is not acceptable (e.g., core switches, headquarters cameras), we recommend considering our maintenance contract.
The SLA (intake hours, first-response target, on-site arrival target, etc.) is a service-quality target on a best-effort basis, and is NOT a contractual guarantee. Targets may not be met due to natural disasters, large-scale network outages, courier delays, or partner availability. For details, please refer to the "SLA Details" modal shown at quote issuance and to the contract document.
On-site response for maintenance contracts differs by region:
- Direct service area (Tokyo 23 wards / central Osaka City): ITSN SE visits directly. SLA is managed in-house.
- Partner service area (other parts of Japan): a partnered company visits. SLA depends on partner availability and the arrival target may be longer than in the direct area (remote islands / remote areas are best-effort).
Plan changes during the contract period are not permitted in principle (because contract terms and pricing differ by plan). The plan is fixed at the time of quote issuance and cannot be changed afterwards. You may change plans at the next contract renewal.
Yes. ITSN provides full support beyond product selection and quoting, including design, construction (installation and configuration), and ongoing operations and maintenance. Maintenance contracts can also cover failure response and periodic inspections. For details, please see the maintenance contract FAQ or contact your assigned SE.
Shipping
It depends on the product. Standard stock items are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks; manufacturer-ordered items take roughly 3–6 weeks. Specific lead times are confirmed at the time of formal quote. Please let us know in advance if it's urgent.
The Quick Quote does not include shipping costs. Shipping is quoted separately based on destination and quantity. In the direct service area (Tokyo 23 wards / central Osaka City), we can arrange in-house delivery; elsewhere, the customer arranges the courier.
Product
The Quick Quote on this site supports TP-Link products only. For other vendors (NVR, UPS, cabling materials, etc.), please contact us and we will quote them individually.
TP-Link's manufacturer warranty period varies by product (typically 1–3 years). Failures outside the warranty period can be covered by our maintenance contract. Each product's warranty period is listed in its datasheet PDF (the 'Datasheet' button on the product listing).
Each product card on the product listing screen has a "Datasheet" button. Clicking it opens a single-page A4 datasheet PDF in a new tab, showing specifications, features, and related products.
Datasheets are available in 6 languages and are useful for overseas projects as well.
Other
Quote issuance and mail-order sales cover all of Japan. On-site maintenance is supported in the direct service area (Tokyo 23 wards / central Osaka City) plus the partner service area (other parts of Japan, arranged with partners). For overseas projects, please contact us separately.
